RULES FOR AWARD PAPERS NEUROTRAUMA SOCIETY OF INDIA

1)      Contestant should be below the age of 45 years.

2)      Total experience excluding training in the specialty not to exceed 7 years.

3)      Should have completed at least one year Associate membership of the Society.

4)      Work presented should have been done in India.

5)      The contestant should present the paper in the conference personally.

6)      Full text of the paper (both hard copy by post and electronic format by e mail) as per guidelines of Indian journal of Neurotrauma is to be submitted to the

a.      Secretary, NTSI*

b.      Editor IJN**

c.       Organizing Secretary, NTSI***

7)      All authors to give a joint undertaking that  Indian journal of Neurotrauma will have the first right to publish the work.

8)      The paper should not have been published or presented earlier in any other conference.

9)     The Head of the Department/Institution to which a candidate is attached should certify that the work presented is the candidate’s personal contribution and of that candidate did the major part of the work.

10)Last date for receiving the manuscript is 30th June 2011, 5.00 PM

3-  Neurotrauma Institutional Award of Neurotrauma Society

Proposals are invited for Neurotrauma Institutional Award of Neurotrauma Society

of India for the year 2010- 2011 to be awarded during the National Neurotrauma
conference at Ranchi

RULES for Neurotrauma Institutional Award of Neurotrauma Society

1. Best work done in Neurotrauma by the institution from 1st April 2010 to 31st March, 2011

2. Institutions who have already received the award during the past will not be considered for the award.

3. Work done during the last one year will be evaluated

4. Award will be decided by the three member committee appointed by the Executive committee of Neurotrauma society of India

5. Award consists of cash prize of Rs. 10000=00, certificate and a plaque.

6. Award will be given at the closing ceremony.

7. Last date for receiving the manuscript is 30th June 2011

8. Three Sets of Manuscript should be sent to the Secretary, NTSI by post before the deadline

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPT  FOR Neurotrauma Institutional Award of Neurotrauma Society

  1. Brief background about the institution
  2. Introduction of Neurotrauma / Trauma department contesting for the award.
  3. Pre Hospital Care: Number of ambulances –Staffing of ambulances with staff training and qualification- Number of calls per day- Recording of calls-Response time.
  4. Staff distribution in the trauma facility along with Qualifications.
  5. In hospital reception resuscitation & Triage system.
  6. Facilities available in trauma area- CT scan with distance- Xray unit –Portable Xray ultrasound- ECG- Ventilators etc.
  7. Doctors exclusively working in Trauma facility with qualifications with CV (One Page) of person heading the Trauma centre.
  8. Training facility if available and equipment at your disposal.
  9. Running any BCLS/ ATLS or other courses-Course organized in last 1 year.
  10. Trauma registry- provide a brief report of the type of registry being maintained.
  11. Publications or research activity details.
  12. Participating in any clinical trials – details.
  13. Provide photograph of your Institute- department (Max three photo graphs).
  14. Use graphs charts where ever required.

There will be 3 best poster awards.

Guideline for Poster Presentation

>> Digital Poster Presentation
>> Powerpoint presentation of not more than four slides
>> Time for presentation - 3 mins
>> Discussion time - 2mins

5- NTSI-Alfred Trauma Research Development Award

Sponsored by: The Alfred Hospital (www.alfred.org.au/) Melbourne, Australia

This award will comprise of:

1. An invitation to present the paper at Australian National Trauma Research Institute Meeting - which is scheduled in November 2011this year.

2. Certificate of Merit.

3. Plaque / Medal.

4. Associated one week placement as a visiting Fellow at one of the leading Trauma facility in Australia

5. Return economy airfare to conference venue in Australia

6. Airport transfers

7. Associated accommodation cost at the Parkview Hotel, or similar hotel for above period

Rules & Regulations:

1. Open to Full members of NTSI

2. Open to first five years of full membership

3. Age below 35 years

4. Open for Platform presentation only

5. Presenter should be the First author

6. Presentation should be related to trauma

7. Can be presented in any of the sections/ session of the conference

8. Will make scientific presentation at Australian Trauma Society Annual Meeting.

9. Full text of the paper (As per NTSI Journal Guidelines) should be submitted to Editor NTSI Journal-Secretary NTSI-Representative or Nominee of The Alfred two months before the starting day of the conference.

10. Last date for receiving the manuscript is 10th July 2011
